Mirabilia International Film Awards è un festival con cadenza bimensile on-line, con un evento finale annuale in cui verranno premiati i migliori fra i vincitori delle edizioni bi-mensili, che si terrà a Leinì (TO) nel prestigioso Teatro Civico “Luciano Pavarotti”.

LE MERAVIGLIE DEL CINEMA
MIRABILIA ‹mirabìlia› s. neutro pl., lat. [dall’agg. mirabĭlis; v. meraviglia], usato in ital. al femm. – Cose meravigliose, straordinarie.

Come negarlo? Il cinema sospende la nostra incredulità.
Veniamo rapiti, come bambini, dalla magia delle immagini in movimento, ci lasciamo trasportare in altri mondi. Viaggiamo con la mente, con gli occhi, col cuore.
E l’amore per il cinema, per questo senso di meraviglia che lo attraversa, è quello che vorremmo comunicare attraverso il nostro festival, che si propone di essere un punto di incontro per i videomakers di tutto il mondo, con un’attenzione tutta particolare rivolta alle donne.
All’interno del festival saranno infatti presenti due sezioni dedicate all’universo femminile: nella prima la giuria premierà la miglior regista donna, mentre nella seconda la migliore opera cinematografica(che sia lungometraggio o corto, tv pilot, webserie o documentario) che sia incentrata sulla tematica femminile.
Il nostro obiettivo è quello di scoprire film di qualità e promuovere il lavoro di registi indipendenti provenienti da tutto il mondo, con riconoscimenti per numerose categorie.

Una giuria di qualità, composta da esperti del settore, valuterà tutte le opere iscritte per decretare i vincitori delle edizioni bi-monthly e del festival annuale, nel quale saranno in gara le opere che hanno ottenuto riconoscimenti durante il corso dell’anno.
I vincitori delle edizioni bimestrali avranno la possibilità di partecipare come ospiti alla puntata di “Poltronissima” (uno dei canali social più seguiti nel mondo dello spettacolo in Italia, che conta, solo su instagram ,più di 35000 followers) dedicata al nostro festival. I produttori, i registi, il cast dei film vincitori potranno così presentare le loro opere nel corso delle interviste che verranno fatte loro da Luca e Max, i conduttori del programma.

I vincitori delle edizioni bi-monthly parteciperanno alla finalissima dell’Annual Awards, che avverrà durante la primavera 2021 nella prestigiosa cornice del Teatro Civico Luciano Pavarotti di Leinì. Qui si terrà un prestigioso Gala Annuale con le proiezioni delle opere in concorso, le interviste ai filmmakers realizzate da “Polltronissima”, il red-carpet, la cerimonia di premiazione e la consegna di statuetta creata appositamente per il festival.

Mirabilia International Film Awards is a bimonthly online festival with an annual final event where the best of the winners of the bi-monthly editions will be awarded in Leinì, Italy, in the prestigious “Luciano Pavarotti” Civic Theater.

THE MARVELS OF CINEMA MIRABILIA “mirabìlia” s. n. pl., lat. [from adj. Mirabilis; v. marvel], in Italian used in the feminine – Wonderful and amazing things.
“From Reynaud’s phantasmagoria, passing through sceneries and dioramas, it is a sequence of wonders of vision. In these wonders the screen becomes more and more a threshold and it plays with the viewers’ unconscious and with the projections of their desires, going so far as to offer voyeurism as the favourite theme of the latest cinema.
It is the eye – deceiving organ of vision – that allows the moving images to enable in the viewer the suspension of disbelief, so much as to frighten him at the view of a speeding train or to surprise him with the “tricky” images by Méliès, where a musician doubles in two performers. Splendour of truth, hallucination and deception: cinema what a marvel!”

How can we deny it? Cinema suspends our unbelief. Like children, we are snatched away by the moving images and we fly off to other worlds. We travel with our mind, with our eyes, with our heart. And is the love for cinema, this sense of wonderment that pervades it, that’s exactly what we would like to convey through our festival! It aims to be a meeting point for videomakers from all over the world, with a special focus on women.
In fact, the festival is going to be divided in two sections dedicated to the female universe: in the first one the jury will award the best woman film director, while in the second one it will award the best film work (whether it is a full-length or short film, a TV pilot, a web series or a documentary) on women’s issues.
Our goal is to find out quality films and to promote the work of independent film directors from all over the world, with awards for many categories. A quality jury, made up by experts in the field, will asses all the registered works to decide the winners of the bimonthly editions and annual festival. In the annual festival are going to compete the works, which have obtained awards during the year.
The winners of the bimonthly editions will have the opportunity to participate -as guests- in the episode of “Poltronissima” (one of the most popular social channels in the world of entertainment in Italy, which counts, only on instagram, more than 35000 followers) dedicated to our festival. The producers, the directors and the cast of the winning films will be able to present their works during the interviews with Luca and Max, the conductors of the program.
The winners of the bi-monthly editions will take part to the grand final of the Annual Awards, which will take place in the spring 2021 in the prestigious setting of the Civic Theatre Luciano Pavarotti in Leinì. Here will be held a glamorous Annual Gala with the projection of the works in competition, the interviews with filmmakers realized by “Poltronissima”, the red carpet, the awarding ceremony and the handover of an unique trophy especially created for this festival.
